I don’t know what it is about the skies of Maxfield Parrish, but they have always broken my heart with their meticulous beauty. Whether in his countless fairy tale illustrations or in his landscapes, his famous ‘Parrish blue’ captures a hue that might not exist very often in reality, but it’s the color I dream of when I dream of skies.
